Born and raised in Bucks County, PA, I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and am a certified teacher for kindergarten through grade 8 in the state of Pennsylvania. Fulfilling my desire to travel and photograph, I moved to South Korea where I taught ESL from kindergarten to adults in South Korea. I gained experience as an early years teacher in an American international school, learning support teacher in a British international school and a kindergarten teacher in a Saudi Arabian bi-lingual school. I also taught Grade 2 in Albania and was a visual arts teacher in Qatar for 8 years.

I am passionate about creativity and especially love allowing students to discover their own creativity. I facilitate learning experiences that teach skills, process and use of materials while allowing individual freedom for self-expression and creativity. These learning experiences are inspired by traditional and contemporary artists both local and international. They are naturally integrated across core subjects and art history with a focus on personal, social and emotional well-being, transdisciplinary skills and of course, artistic techniques and the creative process.

I celebrate and honor the diverse cultures, traditions, and interests of my students to create meaningful learning experiences, foster authentic connections, and provide appropriately challenging opportunities for growth. I am committed to ensuring that all students have equitable access to learning, recognizing and supporting their individual needs and strengths.
